- Passive solar design, using concrete floors for thermal mass.
- Site built masonry heater for high efficiency and low emission wood burning.
- High efficiency in-floor radiant heat system.
- Structural, insulated roof panels and Corbond sprayed-in-place insulation provide high R value and low infiltration rates.
- Whole house air to air heat exchanger reclaims heat from the outgoing air, and provides fresh air year round.
- Concrete walls in the garage and studio building are made with an interior core of rigid insulation and fiberglass ties between the interior and exterior concrete surfaces.
